How to obtain a Google ID for Factory Reset Protection
Introduction
Google ID is an essential part of Factory Reset Protection (FRP) configuration. This security feature protects your device from unauthorised use after a factory reset.
Procedure
- In the policy, select ‘Get Google ID’.

- Go to the interface.

Fill in the fields
resourceName | people/me |
personFields | metadata
|
- Click the Execute button.
- Log in to your Google account (it can be a private or work account), which will be required during device verification after restoring factory settings.
- In the result displayed, find the ID field – this is your Google ID.

Copy the ID and enter it in the policy in the section:
‘Use Factory Reset Protection - Get Google ID’.
- Save changes.
